tmorgangrowden This release is very gripping and unique. The triple vocal attack provides such sick contrast while also allowing for tons of interesting vocal patterns and combinations. The riffs are catchy and refreshing, the production couldn’t be much better, and the band is thematically intriguing to say the least. The bass is very audible and the drumming is spot on as well. All of this being said, I am totally head over heels for this demo and thrilled to see what Phalanx come up with next.
Favorite track: Vercingetorix.

Claydonious This EP is just so damn heavy and I love the history aspect. It’s perfect for a history buff who loves metal and hardcore and punk and all that good stuff. The Keri’s vocals are fantastic and I loves lordspew’s guitar and his vocals as well. Phalanx has honestly become one of my go to’s when I need a pick me up. If these dudes put something out I will buy it without hesitation. And btw look into these guys other projects and art cuz Sean never disappoints. Favorite track: Pyrrhic Victory.

Spun it about 5 times over the past weekend, in a sea of overbearing DM this demo hits hard with those blasts that groove along with the pummel of the riff, and solos and synths that take you somewhere else, better than the record versions imo. bacon_cakez
